We are looking for an ambitious ETL specialist who is ready for a challenge. This position is a permanent position in Utrecht and suits a junior/ medior ETL consultant as well as an experienced senior ETL specialist.

The primary focus of a data & application specialist is to design, implement and maintain website content (i.e. products, offers, texts, reviews) generation and publication (ETL) processes. Our client publishes on a daily basis product and price information of millions of products from hundreds of online retailers. Content is published in multiple languages to multiple websites in different countries in Europe.

As a member of the Data scrum team you are responsible to maintain and improve the quality of content on our site.

Responsibilities and Tasks
• Maintain and improve existing information (ETL) processes (product feeds, offer feeds, data loads, offer mappings, classification, filtering and cleaning, reporting) and applications;
• Design, implement and test new (ETL) processes and applications;
• Report and analyses tasks – for either business or IT employees;
• Work with business users to verify that technical solutions meet requirements;
• Responsible for all applications used to manage content from a functional perspective;
• Participate in and help to improve our Scrum process and work methods in general;
• Work with direction of senior data & application specialists;
• Document information processes and applications;
• First point of contact for IT and our content management employees regarding content related questions;
• Technical contact person for data feed suppliers.

Education/ Experience
• Bachelor or Master degree preferably in Computer Science;
• Minimal of one year experience in data handling/management or BI;
• Knowledge about and experience with SQL and databases;
• Knowledge about ETL principles and tools is a strong advantage;
• Experience with handling external product data is a pre;
• Knowledge about XML, principles and tools;
• Strong understanding of data integrity;
• Fluent in Dutch and English. Skilled in French or Finish is very much appreciated;
• Preferably having a Unix/Linux scripting background;
• Preferably experienced with programming and/or scripting languages.
